Julie is a founding board member of Into Your Hands Africa and a two time Board President. She currently serves a Marketing Committee Chair.

After completing an engineering degree at Colorado School of Mines, Julie got sidetracked into the beer industry with first Anheuser-Busch, then Coors Brewing. She completed a Masters in Business at University of Denver. Brewing operations ,research and development, new product development, training, market research and departmental hiring were staples of her 15 year stint in the industry. Julie is currently semi-retired, and works for her own private corporations.

Julie has studied leadership and education formally and informally for over 15 years. She has a Certificate in Leadership from Otterbein College, attended the prestigious Center for Creative Leadership and AMA certified facilitator. Julie tutored inmates through GED math in the Denver county jail and has taken graduate level independent study Masters of Education classes at Regis University. Julie has lead professional and private women’s mentoring groups.

Julie’s non-profit experience includes co-leading a United Way campaign with 200 volunteers to raise $1 million in the workplace. Julie has served on personnel and search committees for her church, been a high school hockey team manager and adult supervisor for a traveling youth equestrian team.

In her spare time, Julie is a competing equestrian with a tolerant, super- hero husband, a daughter and a son. She belongs to a book club who are the sisters of her heart, enjoys reading, writing, photography and is an intense hockey fan.
